During the school holidays, the team is offering a programme of fun activities designed for leisure centres, for children aged 3 and over.
Activities to make your visit a success
Fun-filled learning and hands-on activities come together to create engaging and dynamic half-days or full days. Whilst having fun together, the children will become experts on the history of Alesia!

The venue for the activities (museum or Gallo-Roman town) must be checked and confirmed with the coach driver in advance.
Transfers between the museum and the Gallo-Roman town site – which are 3 km apart and involve a steep incline – must be arranged by bus. The location and duration of the selected activities must be compatible with your transport requirements.

From Lyon – 2 hours 40 minutesFree on-site bus parking, available during the site’s opening hours.

Groups of children can use a sheltered indoor area within the museum in the event of bad weather, or an outdoor area near the tree-lined car park, close to the buses, or near the statue of Vercingétorix

The museum and its guided tours are accessible.
- Cultural guides are aware of the need for accessibility and have been trained to cater for all visitors as effectively as possible.
- Some of the educational activities can be adapted to suit children’s specific needs.
- Wheelchairs and walking frames are available on loan.
Access to the Gallo-Roman town is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility.
