Alesiathèque
A place to relax and explore, open to everyone
On the second floor of the museum, the Alésiathèque invites visitors to delve into the site’s history. It allows visitors to prepare for or explore their visit in greater depth in a warm and welcoming setting. The space offers a varied collection of resources on the history of Alesia, the ancient world, archaeology and the myth of the site’s origins: historical and fictional works, children’s literature, podcasts, documentaries and digital media. A place for relaxation and sharing for the whole family, it allows you to broaden your knowledge whilst enjoying a pleasant time together.
This space is open to all, with no booking required. A dedicated team is on hand to guide and advise each visitor as they explore.
Open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm.
Access to the archives and research
By appointment with the Scientific Department, it is possible to access the site’s archives and those relating to the archaeological excavations, which constitute a key resource for anyone undertaking research. It serves as a scientific platform for researchers and students, supporting all those who contribute to the understanding and promotion of this heritage.
Access to the archives is by appointment only.
