Experienced waiter/waitress at the fine-dining restaurant “La Table de Victor” (FR)

Located on the very site of the famous Battle of Alesia (52 BC), the SPL MuséoParc Alésia, acting on behalf of the Côte d’Or department, is responsible for managing the Alesia site. Spanning two sites (the museum and the Gallo-Roman ruins) and boasting a rich cultural programme, it welcomes an average of 84,000 visitors a year and over 12,000 schoolchildren.
La Table de Victor is a leading gourmet restaurant situated within the MuséoParc Alésia, awarded the ‘100% Côte-d’Or’ label and unanimously praised by its customers with an exceptional rating of 4.9/5.
The restaurant embodies a discerning and sincere vision of fine dining, where elegance, a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the authenticity of the local terroir come together. Through creative and indulgent cuisine, every dish showcases local produce and highlights the 100% Côte-d’Or expertise, expertly embodied by Chef Victor Lamy, the brand’s ambassador.
In a setting that is both warm and refined, La Table de Victor reinvents the art of hospitality by offering a unique culinary experience. Every service is designed to be an exceptional moment, where gastronomic excellence is combined with a
constant focus on hospitality, attention to detail and the impeccable quality of front-of-house service.In an establishment where ingredients, precision and elegance guide every service, we are seeking a Head of Dining Room and Snack Bar capable of embodying service excellence and uniting a team around an impeccable customer experience. We champion a vision of service where every detail counts, where the welcome is sincere and where the customer experience is delivered with precision, fluidity and discretion.
The dining offering is complemented by ‘Côté Comptoir’, which serves a range of snacks devised and created by Chef Victor Lamy, to be enjoyed at a table or taken away. All creations are made in-house: buns, sandwiches, gazpachos, savoury tarts, poke bowls and pastries…
The 100% Côte-d’Or Grocery Shop showcases locally crafted products, carefully selected and available for purchase by customers of the restaurant and the museum.

Working closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams, you will help to provide our guests with an impeccable experience.
- Ensure that tables are set with care and precision, in accordance with the restaurant’s standards
- Welcome guests with elegance and provide a personalised service throughout their visit to ‘La Table de Victor’ restaurant
- Provide accurate advice and ensure orders are taken efficiently
- Deliver precise, smooth service that is synchronised with the kitchen
- Anticipate guests’ expectations and constantly ensure their comfort and satisfaction
- Monitor tables discreetly and efficiently
- Carry out closing procedures professionally

- You have an eye for detail and the high standards required to deliver a quality dining experience
- You have an impeccable appearance and excellent interpersonal skills
- You are recognised for your commitment to service, delivered with discretion and elegance
- You are able to work as part of a team with a combination of rigour and kindness
- You are organised, responsive and fully committed to customer satisfaction
- Training in the catering industry (CAP, Bac Pro, STHR) and/or initial experience in a high-quality establishment would be an advantage.

- Fixed-term contract until the end of October, with the possibility of renewal from February 2027 and the potential for career progression.
- Full-time, based on a 35-hour week, with flexible working hours
- Working hours: 9.30 am – 4.30 pm with a break (lunch service only)
- Frequent work at weekends and on public holidays, and occasionally on certain evenings during events at the museum.
- Salary based on profile and experience
- Half of the cost of private health insurance is covered

As the true ‘conductor’ of the dining room, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of service and the customer experience.
- Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house operations to a high standard and with a smooth, seamless flow
- Welcome and build customer loyalty by offering a personalised and memorable experience
- Manage, train and support the front-of-house team in a commitment to excellence
- Ensure compliance with the restaurant’s standards: precision in movements, elegance of service, and attention to detail
- Ensure constant and seamless communication with the kitchen
- Manage bookings, organise service rotas and optimise the seating plan
- Anticipate guests’ expectations and handle any requests or special circumstances appropriately
- Contribute to the development of the restaurant’s image and reputation

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and appeal of the snack bar area, in line with the company’s quality standards.
Your responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire snack bar area
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in strict accordance with the recipes developed by the Head Chef and the pastry chef, with
consistency, precision and attention to detail in the finishing touches, supported by a team of seasonal staff. - Manage orders for drinks, packaging and other supplies
- Manage the relationship with the coffee supplier, with a constant focus on quality and consistency
- Ensure the smooth running and development of the ‘Savoir-Faire 100 % Côte-d’Or’ delicatessen, ensuring products are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner
- Ensure the counter and bar are kept in immaculate condition and assist with the upkeep of the premises
- Manage stock, storeroom and supplies, demonstrating foresight and rigour
- Handle payments reliably and professionally, in accordance with established procedures
- Help clear and reset tables to ensure a smooth flow of service

- You have proven experience in the catering industry, ideally in a Michelin-starred restaurant or a similar establishment;
or - You have a keen eye for service, attention to detail and high standards
- You embody natural, caring and unifying leadership
- You have impeccable presentation and excellent communication skills
- You are recognised for your rigour, organisational skills and ability to anticipate needs
- You are able to interact with ease with a discerning clientele
- Fluency in English would be an additional asset
- You have proven experience in the catering industry, ideally in a Michelin-starred restaurant or a similar establishment;
